If you’re looking for a fix of art, design and dogs during London Design Festival, get along to the Dogs + Design Pop Up concept store in Shoreditch this week. Hosted by London-based hound and human lifestyle brand Fetch & Follow, Dogs + Design is open from 14-23 September, with plenty on offer for modern dogs and their humans.
While the store is not part of the official London Design Festival programme, this concept dog shop will sit in the heart of the Shoreditch Design Triangle and promises pet-themed features, which play into the celebration and promotion of London. as the design capital of the world.
On display at the Dogs + Design pop up is a Dog Art Postcard Wall, celebrating all things dogs and in association with contemporary dog-centric magazine Four & Sons. The wall exhibits the creative work of 50 different artists to help raise money and awareness for the WECare Sri Lanka charity that helps care for Sri Lankan street dogs.
Fetch & Follow has also teamed up with furniture designer Dean Edmonds and dog toy company Kong to fashion the famous ‘tough’ dog toy into a playful piece of lighting for the home. Available to purchase in-store from £95, the design uses a XXL Kong in a choice of black, red or blue for the base, with a simple bulb top for a minimal look for a dog lover’s home.
