We are more than a little enamoured by this new drop from Fetch & Follow. Inspired by their recent travels in Japan, the new Spring collection combines the Japanese philosophy ‘Mottainai’; a sense of regret concerning waste; and the traditional Japanese patchwork mending technique of ‘Boro’.
With a commitment to designing durable, functional products that develop alongside the personality of your dog, and a conscience to give back to the environment, it’s easy to recognise why these Japanese practices resonated so well with Fetch & Follow, and with us too.
We are swooning over the new homewares pieces in this collection, including an Ink Splatter Dog Bowl and Treat Jar, both made in collaboration with artist and ceramicist – Kana London. Each piece is lovingly built and painted by hand, using an ink splatter technique to create a truly individual object.
Love Fetch & Follow but live outside London? The brand are taking their stylish dog goods on a pop-up tour this summer, with the first stop in one of our favourite seaside towns – Whitstable! Open from Saturday 2nd June to Sunday 10th June, they will have an extensive range of clothing, collars and leads, bowls and accessories for you and your pup to enjoy. Visit them at the Show Off Gallery Space, 13 Harbour St, Whitstable, CT5 1AQ, open daily from 10-4pm Monday to Thursday, Sunday, 10-5pm on Friday and 10-6pm on Saturdays. More details on their blog.
Recognising a dog’s desire for adventure may impact the condition of their clothing, Fetch & Follow has applied the ‘Boro’ technique to their new Patchwork Dog Sweaters. Just like a dog, no two sweaters are the same. Made from organic UK-woven cotton jersey, each sweater is patched with love into a unique design and comes with additional fabric patches to prolong the item’s life. Also on offer are Ink Splatter Dog Sweaters, made with the same technique as the homewares.
For dogs living in temperament climates such as the UK, the new drop also includes two Lightweight Reversible Summer Jackets in a choice of Navy & Grey or Pink & Grey. Each garment is made from a unique Japanese cotton seersucker outer to ward off chilly breezes and has a lightweight durable water fabric inner to ensure a four-legged friend stays dry in the event of a sudden downpour.
The Fetch & Follow Spring collection starts at £32 for dog bowls, £40 for sweaters and £70 for summer jackets. Shop the range in store now.
