Things are pretty crowded in the Soho offices of Ridley’s Scott’s film production company; apart from the high-profile comings and goings, the company has no less than five (count ’em) resident dogs!
Home to RSA Films, an award winning film production company founded by acclaimed Directors Ridley and Tony Scott, and creative agency Quiet Storm, there is surely no shortage of creativity amongst the cool canines at this dog friendly workspace? To celebrate Bring Your Dog to Work Day on the 24th June we take a peak inside to find out…..
Company: RSA Films / Quiet Storm
Location: Soho, London
Introduce us to your resident pets:
Ralph, an 8-year-old Jackahuahua – Ralph is the original office dog at RSA.
Oscar, a 5 ½ year-old Jack Russell Cross – Oscar has crashed some very important meetings in his time!
Jean Genie, a 7-year-old Cairn Terrier – Jean Genie likes to travel in the lift by herself but always finds her way back to her cushion.
Boss – 1 ½ year-old Teacup Maltese Terrier – Boss met his best buddy Reggie at work, but he’s on maternity leave with his mum and new baby sister. Whenever we refer to Reggie we have to spell out his name so Boss doesn’t get too excited, however overtime it seems Boss has leant to spell!
Jerry – A Parsons Jack Russell
Why did you decide to become a pet friendly workplace?
We are all dog lovers so we have been dog friendly here since day one.
What does the team love most about having pets in the office?
Everybody takes something different from it, but overall it brings calm and joy in some very stressful situations.
Where do the dogs spend most of their time in the office?
Usually under, or sometimes ON the desks of their owners!
Do you have any pet policies?
The dogs need to listen to their owners and obviously aggression is not tolerated. They also have to be fully up to date with their insurance and vaccinations.
Can you recommend any great dog-friendly places nearby?
My favourites in Soho are The Society Club and Shaston Arms.
Would you encourage other companies to operate a pet friendly policy?
Definitely, it’s the best!
