Does your dog like to fade into the background? Do they hate standing out in the crowd and refuse to have their picture posted on Instagram? Then this bright, cheeky collection of fashion and accessories by new Melbourne-based brand Bonnie & Grover is not for you.
Launched in 2015 by Creative Director Chloe Krushka, Bonnie & Grover fuses individuality and fun to unleash your dog’s playful side (as if they needed any help with that). The offbeat range features funky dog hoodies in bright block prints with cool leather detailing, and collars really pop with zebra print pony skin, vibrant trims and edgy studding.
Chloe came up with the idea for Bonnie & Grover after looking for a gift for a friend’s dog. “I realised that there wasn’t a whole lot on offer in Australia when it comes to stylish options for dogs, so I did something about it.”
“You can never be too serious when it comes to our four-legged friends – so whilst our products are made from high-end materials such as genuine leather and beautiful metal hardwares, they are also injected with some fun, like bright colours, pony skin and funky patterns,” she says.
Chloe’s six month old terrier cross Mav gets the final say on style and quality. “The best part of my day is definitely coming home to give him a big cuddle! You can see some pictures of him on our Instagram (@BonnieAndGrover) – although not too many, as his modelling skills are not perfected just yet – he hates sitting still!”
Bonnie & Grover Dog Hoodies start at AUD$35.00 and collars at AUD$42.00 – shop the collection at bonnieandgrover.com.au.
