Many of you (like us) probably started with very strict house rules about pets on the furniture. Over time of course, their undeniable lovability (not to mention their clear disregard for your authority) has forced you to soften and it’s become a free for all. Now you just squeeze your bottom on the sofa in what measly space they have left you.
Sound familiar? You’re not alone – new research from Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, has revealed that 84% of people let their dogs on the sofa and 35% of those refuse to move their snoozing hound and have sat on the floor instead – what have we come come to!?
To turn the tide on this blatant couch-invasion, Dogs Trust has teamed up with sofa.com to launch the Cecil – a collection of miniature sofas designed especially for your four-legged friend, with 10% of the purchase price going to the charity.
The Cecil is available in two canine-friendly sizes and can be upholstered in sofa.com’s colourful brushed linen cottons or designer Fenella Smith’s ‘Animals’ collection, featuring pugs, dachshunds, pheasants or Labradors.
