They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch, but if you’re a dog in North London, that’s all about to change. Hampstead’s finest eateries are introducing a complimentary three-course doggy menu, so dog owners can dine with their four-legged friends.
Happening during Hampstead Restaurant Week (15th – 21st September), at participating establishments including – The Wells, The Holly Bush, and The Horseshoe, culinary canines can tempt their palate with a delicious dogs dinner, provided courtesy of Lily’s Kitchen, to raise money for Kids Company.
Lily’s Kitchen Doggy Dinner menu includes:
- Amuse Bouche – Truly Natural Little Liver Rewards – delicious air dried 100% natural British Oxen liver pieces
- Choice of Main Course: Home-style Chicken and Turkey Casserole or Venison and Wild Rabbit Terrine – both made with freshly prepared meat, organic fruit and vegetables and a signature blend of botanical herbs
- Nightcap – Famous Bedtime Biscuits – organic hand baked treats with soothing chamomile, passion flower, honey and yoghurt
Dogs will also get a limited edition Lily’s Kitchen tennis ball to help work off that dinner on the way home!
“We are delighted to be able to offer a different kind of ‘dining out experience’ for dogs and their owners, whilst at the same time supporting such a fantastic charity. In France dogs are regularly taken out to eat with their owners but here there is a general misconception that dogs are not allowed in premises where food is served, but it is only food preparation areas that are out of bounds due to health and safety, not areas where food is served and sold,” said Lily’s Kitchen Founder, Henreitta Morrison.
Nosh on pooch pals!
