Unless you’ve been living under a smelly chew toy, you’ll know it’s FASHION SEASON. London Fashion Week’s Spring Summer 2013 shows have just wrapped and they certainly saved the best till last. Mulberry’s show dazzled yesterday with it’s mega-watt front row including Kate Moss and Alexa Chung and the real star of the show – Max, a grey standard poodle who worked the catwalk like he owned it….and then some.
Claridges Ballroom was transformed into a pretty English country garden for the hotly anticipated show complete with fresh roses and pink gnomes (one of which, I have on good authority, was gnome-napped and snuck into other shows).
The collection didn’t disappoint either. Sweet and romantic as ever but not sickly, Creative Director Emma Hill went for a more grown-up aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from from the 1970’s, the collection featured buttery soft leather capes in salted caramel with over-sized flower hardware, delicate floral printed biker jackets, and and wide-leg tailored trousers.
